I’ve been thinking about starting this blog for about three months now – kicking ideas around, trawling the other college sexblogs out there, messing around with WordPress – but what I’ve really been doing is stalling. Like in most areas of my life, as a writer it turns out that I’m extremely self-concious.

When you blog, you give up security and privacy and trust. Everything is out there; just a Google search away. And isn’t that the way bloggers want it? Don’t people blog because they’re narcisstic attention-seekers? (Fuck – and sex bloggers especially?)

I thought a lot about anonymity, about pen names – but honestly, even if you’re writing under a pen name there is no real way to be anonymous. Details give you away. I finally settled on a name but I don’t feel comfortable in it at all. It doesn’t sound or feel like me. But I’m too chicken write as me. If I did, it could potentially hurt or upset many people close to me, and I don’t want that to happen…

So for now – my name is Wilhelmina Wang. I’m 20 (turning 21 in October), female (both biologically and by expression), Eurasian, bisexual, and a junior at a top American university. I set foot in the States for the first time two years ago. I’m an English major - interested in fiction-writing, media and pop culture. I’ve yet to discover what I want to do with my life – just that I want it to be something awesomely creative and adventurous, and filled with people I love and care about.

I don’t actually know whether I’m a narcissitic attention-seeker or not. I’m blogging because I think about sex(uality) – and talk about it – way more than is probably good for me. And I’m writing to make people think, question, challenge, react, respond. I don’t really care how.

I gave up my high school, and may I add extremely popular and revered, sex blog three years ago.
Sometimes I miss it, but most of the time I’ve come to “be”, to full embody and embrace and adore anonymity and not dwelling on the details of love affairs.

I hope you find in yourself what you’re looking for by writing this blog.

Welcome to the group! I guess group is the right word, or something. Well, anyways, welcome to the world of college sexbloggers. There don’t seem too be too, too many of us, but we’re adding more to our ranks. Lol.

I’ve browsed your blog, and so far I really like what I see!
